Hi folks. I am Gavin Hopper.
I look forward to sharing this unique experience with you.
In my company you will benefit from my decades developed good
looks humour (aged well like a good cheese); you will catch my infectious love of the water; and you will learn why we love doing what we do.
Having raised 4 mischievous boys I am good at spotting trouble and am aware of the need for good supervision around water or machines.
The Hopper family
My wife, Cindy, and I moved our family to the West Coast region of New Zealand in 2001. Originally we were near Lake Kaniere then more recently have been pleased to purchase land on the Mahinapua Creek with a perfect view of the mountains, native trees and rich with wildlife.
We have four lovely boys. The oldest two are now working and the younger two we home educate.
We are a local family who are passionate about our stunning backyard. We’d love the opportunity to share the rich history and natural beauty of the Mahinapua Waterways with you. We welcome you aboard!
The beauty of the area captivated us and we couldn’t help but want to share it with others. We have a passion for hospitality and a love for meeting new people. Cindy and I want to show you the love we have for this area and hope that you will get some joy from it as well.
The waterways are perfectly suited to a slow boat cruise to Lake Mahinapua, an ideal setting for exploring in kayaks and is sure to provide a photograph to send home. We have also have a cottage available on the land so others can stay somewhere nice while they take in the landscape and enjoy the lifestyle of the coast. The cottage is perfectly positioned to cater for those looking for somewhere to stay between the third and fourth day of the West Coast Wilderness Trail.
